Releasing “Identity” into the Wild
Singer-songwriter-guitarist Derek Jordan will be performing his “Identity” album release show on April 2, 11 PM, at the King King in Hollywood, CA.
As Derek takes the stage, he will be baring his red handprint logo on his chest for the first time. The handprint symbolizes his advocacy for individualism and truly creating the life you always imagined you would have. Just like no two people have the same exact handprint, Derek believes people shouldn’t live identical lives, believing that everyone has the power to claim their own identity and not the one pressed upon them by their peers. He will be accompanied on stage by versatile bassist Sean Finn and award winning drummer Stefano Ashbridge.
The sound of “Identity” is classified as Psych Alternative Rock, incorporating a heavy dosage of psychological lyrics, ranging from the pursuit of significance to the most primal human instincts, while fusing it with high energy alternative rock, fueled with riffs, solos, and passion. The hit song from the album, “Goodbye Jupiter”, has been featured on numerous internet radio stations including Indie 104, The Songwriter’s Network, Unsigned Artist Showcase, Banana Peel Radio, Indi Showcase (Australia), and Londons Kalling with Pet & Bara (UK).
